Georgian style fireplace

Small Georgian style fireplace

We had a customer ring yesterday with an enquiry for a small Georgian style fireplace, the customer only wanted a very small fireplace she liked the Combination cast iron fireplaces but preferred the fireplace to have a mantel.

The Roundel pine mantel can be made any size but looks best at 44 to 54 inches wide and at these sizes can be put with any arch insert that we have. The Reeded pine mantel can be made any size, and is another good choice for a small Georgian style fireplace.

All the these fireplaces can be used for solid fuel , gas or electric fires.

New Van on Order

I have just ordered a new van today (14/08/09) factory order for a Mercedes sprinter Van 313 cdi, with some nice little extras in it, and with the new economy engine it looks like it should drive well. Its to replace Eddies old sprinter van which is two and a half years old not old but with 175,000 miles on the clock so far! its looking a bit tiered. Eddies old van will be put to pasture and just used for local fireplace deliveries in and around Lincolnshire. Now what about our old Transit van it does look small compared to our Mercedes sprinter vans, well the fate of it isn’t decided yet.

So our replacement van is on order and should come the first week in November. We will be giving it a new paint job and decorating it with some lovely fireplaces. I will keep you posted on the fireplaces that will go on the side of the van some of our best sellers no doubt.

So in November keep a good look out for your new fireplace delivery, possibly in Eddies new van.

While on holiday in France

I just thought I would share this with you. While on holiday in France this month we briefly stayed in this Château for the night and what a night a lovely place to stay, Marion Schildhorn the current owner was telling me that the Château is no longer available for renting out because it has been sold, the new owner is going to return the Château back to be a private house.

Château Lespinassat current owner Marion Schildhorn kindly let me take some pictures of her lovely fireplaces, it gives you an idea of what some 18th century french fireplaces look like.

If you are visiting Bergerac a great place to eat is the restaurant L’OPINIATRE, we had two wonderful meals here.
